Welcome to the Materials Explorer MXPL

MXPL is a tool for the simulation and analysis of materials properties. This tool comprises simulation methods for models of materials as well as visualisation techniques to explore materials. The interface is based on the actor model.

Design Principles

• based on industry standards X-Windows and Motif
• no special graphics acceleration is necessary though supported if available on the host machine
• runs on virtually every workstation, coupled workstations, symmetric multi-processing workstation or mainframe.
• Openness, cooperation between university, industry and software house
